Industrial Furnaces
For applications such as drilling platforms, pressure vessels, ships, and commercial vehicles highly abrasion-resistant high-strength steel plates are required. With a view to optimizing these systems, increasing efforts have been made to reduce their weight. As a result, the demand is growing for relatively thin plates with thicknesses between 3 mm and 10 mm and high hardness and strength values. In order to increase productivity, the aim is also to use plates with an area as large as possible (max. approx. 4.8 x 20 m). Depending on the capacity required, LOI Italimpianti produces Continuous Roller Hearth Furnaces or Oscillating (batch-type) Roller Hearth Furnaces for the heat treatment of steel plate. In the last five years, LOI Italimpianti has delivered 9 heat treatment lines worldwide (continuous roller hearth furnaces with continuous roller quenches) with a throughput for totally approx. 3 Mt/year. |
